If you have never had pear mincemeat this is a must have for the holidays. We got our recipe from the Ball Book it called for golden sultanas, dried apricots, currants, and even almonds. I served some of the leftovers from canning over a scoop of icecream and it was absolutely amazing! The aroma from this recipe makes you start thinking of the holidays! This is a special recipe its not really an affordable recipe but one that I am tucking away for the holidays. I can’t wait!
I have that book! Only mine says Bernardin, instead of Ball…I know, same company, but I never realized that I really do have the Ball Book of Canning. For some reason I thought that it was different from the on I have been using. 🙂
