Ugh I hate organizing with a passion! Oh don’t get me wrong it feels great once it’s done but I really have to force myself to not procrastinate I would much rather be blogging, in the garden well just about anywhere else than where the organizing is taking place.
However the Viking and I have learned the hard way that when we don’t organize it’s not good so when we parked our camper in our driveway last weekend I knew the next morning there would be a lot of work ahead of us. To put a camper away properly you really need to spend a couple of hours cleaning, making repairs, and organizing.
My husband had to make some repairs and I cleaned the floors, cabinets and stove top and then we re-stocked and organized all of our cabinets so our summer trip should be a piece of cake to get the camper ready.
My husband actually made the two smaller fans we use for our camper from old discarded computer fans….they work great and they take up very little room!
The best time to pack your camper is after you go camping so you can quickly remember all the things you forgot to bring 🙂
and we even do pack some cards etc…although we are usually too busy telling stories around the campfire!
Now it’s time for my favorite event that I host weekly….. “The Ole’ Saturday Homesteading Trading Post Edition No. 18” blog hop. And I guess I should break the news to all of you that I want to do a “Frugal Makeover” to my kitchen so that’s coming soon it just needs some color and it needs rejuvenating. And I literally have been using the same three tablecloths all the same color for about 5 years so it is really time 😉

Thanks for stopping by everyone! I always enjoy hearing what you all have to say and look forward to seeing you next week!
Have a great weekend!
Fondly,
This post is linked to the following wonderful blog hops:
One thing that has helped me over the years is to organize everything I can in my life. The minute you get lazy and start letting things slide is when people hate organizing.. if you do it right the first time you will never hate organizing because it becomes habit. Great Post! Mr.CBB
Mr. CBB the hard part is that my parents are both super organized so I know when I am slacking……I tend to be a task master but lately have too many adventures I want to pursue! Thanks for the encouragement! 🙂
I ALWAYS think of repacking after our camping trips, but never do. Instead, the boxes sit out for weeks waiting for me to repack, but then eventually get put away. I lose my momentum once I get back into my house! It’s probably because there are so many other things to do (like check email, blog and see what my online friends are up to, he he), but I just never get around to it.
BTW, I added a couple of links to your Linkies today. I hope it was ok to add two! 🙂
Kristi I know its so hard to do it! I struggle with this myself! I am so happy you linked up to The Ole’ Homesteading Trading Post I am going to go look right now and of course you are welcome to share more than one post I am always happy to hear what projects you are working on!
Thanks Karen Lynn! I’m having a great time getting to know you, and other blog authors. It’s been really great and I feel honored to be part of a group of such interesting people. 🙂
You know Kristi that is the thing I love the most connecting with others who want to improve their lifestyles by eating healthier, growing their own foods, living more sustainably its been wonderful!
I agree! 😀
